Kathmandu. The National Dalit Commission has requested to watch the social message Nepali film ‘Pujar Sarki’. Commission Chairman Devraj Vishwakarma said through a statement that all Nepali speakers and humanity lovers from all over the world can watch and learn from this film.
The officials of the Commission watched the film in a hall in Kathmandu a few days ago. As the film conveys a message of social change, the commission urges people to watch the film, absorb its essence and feel and make the performance worthwhile.
The statement said, as shown in ‘Pujar Sarki’, even today there is a bad culture of prohibiting voluntary marriage in Nepali society. This is also a serious question for educated and civilized people.’
Screenwriter Bikas Subedi said that this is the first time that a state agency has addressed a Nepali film in this way. This film has spoken about the issues that the state should speak about. He said that since the film spoke about the agenda included in the constitution and expressed solidarity with the movement of Dalits, the Commission itself called to watch the film.
Director Dinesh Raut said that the aim of making the film is not only for commercial purposes. He said that he made the film for the renaissance of Dalit liberation movement. This film is a part of Dalit liberation movement. We will deliver it to every settlement in Nepal,” he said.
In a special show held on Wednesday, the members of the House of Representatives, Santosh Pariyar, Thakur Gayre, Nisha Dangi, Shanti Pariyar, Harkamaya Bick, Jeevan Pariyar, former Acting Chairman of National Dalit Commission Manjit Tamrakar, former Sports Minister and President of Dalit Mukti Morcha Daljit Sirpaili, former ambassador Padam Sundas and others watched the film. .
