Kathmandu. DJ Tenzing, who returned after climbing Mount Everest, was given a grand welcome in Kathmandu. He climbed the highest peak by performing a DJ concert in the second week of May.
He is also the first DJ to climb Mount Everest. On Friday, he was given a grand welcome by the Sherpa community at the Kathmandu airport.
He also said that he made a world record by doing a DJ concert at Camp 2. With the slogan ‘Let’s stop global warming, let’s protect the mountains’, he spent two months climbing Mount Everest.
‘The world is currently facing problems due to climate change. We have climbed with the aim of giving a message of mountain protection,’ he told reporters at the Kathmandu airport.
He also said that he is happy that the Everest climbing was successful as expected. Before the climb, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Hit Bahadur Tamang bid him farewell with the national flag, wishing him success in the climb.
