Kathmandu. The film ‘Pujar Sarki’ has been screened in the Nepali diaspora in Japan. Distributor Sachin Acharya informed that 1500 viewers watched the film in one show.
Actor Paul Shah and screenwriter Vikas Subedi have reached Tokyo to participate in the show. Photos and videos of the crowd of spectators who came to watch the film at the show held at Nakano Zero Hall are now viral on social media.
Distributor Acharya said that the crowd that came to see the film was uncontrollable. ‘We were unable to hold the crowd. Even when trying to arrange the management, it got out of control,’ he said.
He said that after this show, proposals are also coming for other shows in Japan. Four more shows are scheduled. He recalled that there was a similar crowd when ‘Kabaddi 4’ was released earlier.
He said, ‘Three years ago when ‘Kabaddi 4′ was released, almost the same thing happened, but it has never happened like it is now. The number of seats in the hall was 1200 at that time. Now when there are more than 1500 people, they stood and sat on the ground and watched the priest,’ he said.
Chief organizer Khimraj Shah said that ‘Pujar Sarki’ has made history in Japan. He says, ‘The historic show of this film was completed here. We also got excellent response. Paul Shah has not seen his movie in theaters for a long time. He was very curious. He became emotional while watching the movie.’
After the show, Paul even danced on stage. Directed by Dinesh Raut, the film stars Pradeep Khadka, Aryan Sigdel, Parikasha Limbu and Anjana Bareilly in lead roles along with Paul. The film presents a story against caste discrimination.
