The Ministry of Health said on Sunday that 488,000 dengue cases were reported in Argentina in the first five months of this year. This is 3.35 times more than last year.
According to the Ministry’s National Epidemiological Bulletin, 488,350 dengue patients have been registered in the first 20 weeks of the year. The highest number of dengue cases were reported in the central region followed by the northwest and northeast regions.
Dengue infection has been found in 19 out of 24 districts of the country and 343 people have died this season. Most of the infected people had fever, headache, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain.
