Kathmandu. Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS IT) has given various suggestions to the government for the budget of the financial year 2081-82. In a press conference in Kathmandu on Sunday, NAS IT said that it has given various suggestions to develop Nepal as a global tech hub.
Nash IT has demanded zero percent corporate tax and 8 percent export credit facilities by advancing the tax incentive policy for 10 years to compete with the world from next year’s budget.
It is suggested that an IT board should be established to develop Nepal as a global tech hub for 5 years by bringing an insurance policy for IT companies and that the body should be an autonomous body.
Similarly, it is suggested to bring a separate law for that. According to NAS IT, the government can rent 15,000 to 30,000 square feet buildings located in different parts of the city and convert them into small IT parks by providing IT park facilities.
NAS IT is a non-profit umbrella organization of IT companies established with the vision of developing Nepal as a global tech hub. Since its inception, the organization has been working on innovation, empowerment, collaboration, capacity building and policy advocacy to advance the IT sector of Nepal.
